Svalbard 034.jpg

ABOUT

We’re headed towards Barentsburg and the stunning Esmark glacier. Keep your eyes peeled for the incredible Arctic wildlife as we travel—look out for whales, seals, and a variety of birds nesting along the cliffs. If we’re really fortunate, we might even spot a polar bear wandering near the glacier!

Onboard, our guide will share fascinating insights about the history of Longyearbyen, the majestic glaciers, and the unique Arctic wildlife. You might even hear a captivating "polar tall tale" or two!

Once we arrive in Barentsburg, a Russian guide will be ready to take us on an informative tour of the town. Feel free to explore a bit on your own before we head back to Longyearbyen. In Barentsburg, you can visit the post office, browse the souvenir shop, or check out the local brewery.

As we make our way back to Longyearbyen, we’ll pass by the abandoned Russian coal mining sites at Coles Bay and Grumant, along with a leisurely view of the bird cliffs. We can’t wait to welcome you aboard and thank you for letting us be part of your travel adventure!
