ABOUT

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure as we set sail for Billefjorden, Pyramiden, and the stunning Nordenskiöld glacier. At the beginning of the season, our tour focuses on the incredible natural experiences along the ever-changing ice edge in Billefjorden and the inner reaches of Isfjorden, without stopping in Pyramiden. Stay alert for the Arctic wonders around you, as this journey presents numerous chances to see amazing wildlife, including whales, seals, and a variety of birds at the breathtaking bird cliff of Diabas. With a bit of luck, we might even spot a polar bear on the ice or near the glacier.

If the ice conditions are favorable, we'll be treated to spectacular views of the Nordenskiöld glacier. Our knowledgeable guide on board will share fascinating stories about Longyearbyen’s rich history, the vast glaciers, and the captivating Arctic wildlife. You might even hear some intriguing polar tall tales along the way!

When we reach Pyramiden (typically around late May to early June), a Russian guide will be ready to take us through the mysterious corridors of this Arctic ghost town. With a warm "Welcome to Russia!" you'll be immersed in the history of the abandoned buildings that tell tales of a bygone era. As we explore, keep your eyes peeled—polar bears may wander the streets of Pyramiden. It’s important to stay together as a group for a safe and memorable adventure.

On our way back to Longyearbyen, we’ll pass by Skansbukta, where our guide will recount the tragic history of Svenskhuset (The Swedish House). We can’t wait to welcome you aboard and thank you for letting us be part of your travel story!
