DOGS ON WHEELS

SPT (136).jpg

ABOUT

Dog sledging is a summer activity, as there is no snow for an ordinary sled ride. We pick you up at the hotel and take you to our kennel, 12 kilometers outside Longyearbyen. Here the dogs wait excitedly, but first it's time to change: suit, boots and mittens. We then greet the dogs and strap them on. Now we are ready to buckle up for the dogs and start the trip. We have small carriages for three, where two sit and one drives. We follow the road towards Endalen. Along the way there are good chances of seeing reindeer and various birds. The dogs pull eagerly and we stop several times along the way to give them water. The colors of the vegetation in Adventdalen, in contrast to the mountains and the sky, in combination with the clear arctic air, are refreshing to the eye and mind. After dog sledding, it's time for a hot drink and biscuits in our cozy log cabin and a visit to our puppies!
