WINTER ORGANIZED TRIP

March is the peak of the winter season. Days are long, and weather conditions are stable, allowing us to make the most of our time on the island. We still have a chance to witness the Northern Lights and, if luck is on our side, experience the "Italian weather." The Arctic, especially in winter, can be demanding, so it's essential to prepare well for the journey. We provide all the necessary equipment for the expedition (suits, helmets, boots, mittens, balaclavas, sleds, GPS, firearms, flare guns, headlamps, helmets, crampons/snowshoes).

Attractions - what we will see and experience:

  • We will stay on the outskirts of the town, where we can observe the Northern Lights.

  • We will prepare the equipment together and learn Arctic survival skills.

  • We will most likely see the Northern Lights.

  • We will witness incredible glaciers, both ON and INSIDE the glacier.

  • Traveling, we will see frozen fjords.

  • We will get acquainted with the island's fauna – reindeer, Arctic foxes, and perhaps even polar bears.

ARRIVAL IN LONGYEARBYEN

Day 1 - March 21

On the first day, we explore Longyearbyen. We leave our belongings, acclimate to the new Arctic reality, establish an action plan, discuss routes, and check and complete the equipment. Then we go to the town for shopping and enjoy local beer at one of the many pubs in Longyearbyen. In the evening, we savor the wonderful atmosphere and hopefully await the Northern Lights.

ROUTE TO TEMPELFIORD

Day 2 - March 22

We will embark on an exceptionally scenic journey by snowmobiles through Sassendalen to the Fredheim cabin, where we'll enjoy a beautiful view of the frozen fjord. If the weather is favorable, we may have an incredible view of the Tunabreen Glacier.
